    Death to the sub-forums

I know it's been discussed before, but I'm putting it out there again.

The sub-forums suck, and need to go. I hate them. Ever since they were implemented, I've hardly read as much of the forum as I used to. I hate having to click 10 different sub-forums in each forum just to read through posts, it's such a pain in the ass. Almost no one liked it when they were first made, and most still don't. They seriously need to be disposed of.

Yes, they're an annoyance and a pain in the ass.

No, they keep specific threads where they should be.

Not sure, they don't affect me either way.

However annoying they are at times, they're rather helpful when you're actually looking for shit. I usually click the "new posts" button, so I don't have to deal with the subforums, but they're key when I'm looking for specific info.

I vote that we at least reduce them. We can use an engine swap subforum, but we dont need 3 subforums of that one subforum. The 5 lug swap is a prime example. Damn, come on.
Also permit, that is why we have a search function.

I agree with reducing them for sure, if eliminating them altogether isn't an option.

when it comes down to it I'd say dump them, they are a pain to keep up on new posts. Can you make it for the main thread list in a category to include all posts in the subs, in chronological order? That way they're available for sorting to get to the nitty gritty, but if you just want to see whats new in a main forum you can simply. Does that make sense?

              Engine and Drivetrain:

Take M20 from M30 & S38 and put them with M20 strokers & FI, outside of that, those sub-forums should stay how they are.

Without subforums the site would be very unorganized

I've found that it's sometimes more worthwhile to manually search through topics than to use the search function. It's amateur at best.

this is supposed to be a forum about german cars.

let's get some german EFFICIENCY in here.

I vote for LESS sub-forums, not the elimination of.

they stay and you people learn how to use the "new posts" function,
I only use the new posts function, unless I´m looking for something specific, then I use the subforums,
this website is just what the germans would do,
have you seen the diffrence between german ebay and US and UK ebay,

the most retarded subforum is the "engine swaps" one. it just brings you to a set of links that are already on the main page.. huh?

                              agreed.
I use the "New Posts" button, so there are no subforums for me most of the time. The subforums are nice though when searching for info.
