merger?

Ok, I read this board every day, I hit the "new posts" probably 20 times a day whenever I'm bored. Then I mosey over to e30tech and its the same posts by the same people. I'm not as hip with the different forum "cultures," and don't know the history that well, but lately it seems every time I go to e30tech it's a mirror of this site. Not much new information. I've got the idea there is some friction between the "focus" of the boards, but I also gather that might have been a throwback to Jordan management. I saw that eurospeed had a pic with the e30tech admin at the picnic, if it's all the same stuff, and you can hang at the drive-in, just make one board.
Back when i had a first gen ford escort (dont laugh too hard) the two main boards eventually merged and without too much bitching.


Has this been discussed before?
Is it in the best interest of everyone involved?
Am I a heretic?

I am not really a huge fan of the e30tech forums, especially the, "you don't have a turbo so you are worthless" mentality that they always tend to push.

I have nothing against the place, however I will personally never consider a merger.

E30tech was created due to most of the nancyboys being scared off of r3v, I really don't see the two forums "merging".

It seems every E30 forum, no matter how similiar will always have a different vibe, with die hard members that swear they are different than others, yet intrests are very similiar.

Funny thought but doubt it will amount to anything. Tech was created when E30Sport went down. We all remember the crisis that caused...E30Sport was not the Mentality of the older R3Vlimited.

It has improved here, I will say that but funny how peolpe love to bash Tech yet continue to post over there. Been very quiet around here without DramaBoy Heeter.
