check it -> I used the youtube button built into this forum - and this is what happens........it auto generates url tags inside the youtube tags....

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxVR092YiBQ">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxVR092YiBQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">

so now i just do url tags:

what gives. trying to put some videos embedded in my posts and am having trouble.

click on the youtube icon like you already did. select only the part above that i highlighted in red. (i think i got the separation right- the point is that you don't want the www.youtube.com part or the slash.) copy and paste that between the youtube brackets. that oughta do ya.

Okay, take the video code - that's the bit after the equal sign in the URL - and copy only that. Then type [youtube]paste that code here[/youtube. Then put another closing bracket on the end, I had to leave it out or else it would try to embed. Done.

That is the way it always worked. (For me.)

                  That is correct!

But I have noticed maybe a week or 2 ago R3V became secure, and since then YouTube embeds were not working!

Also, this thread: This is Youtube has alot of blanks where embedded videos were showing before.

Are somehow external YouTube links being blocked?

I'm seeing this issue too. I thought I forgot how to embed a YT video.
