Same here, once or twice a week, and I haven't had an E30 for months!

            Diy

someone need to do a comprehensive swap diy with pictures and the works in one nice thread step by step, I think it would generate alot more interest in the m30 swap. m50 is more popular just because its easier, at least from my point of view.

If we can make it more information friendly in one location it would see alot of traffic. I know I talked to multiple people that want to do the m30 swap that dont know where to begin. Hell I do it, if I there is a good pictured diy, even if its just general partial, would give it alot more confidence.

I love his legal disclaimer...I'm going to have to steal it.

Legal Disclaimer: I have a very good lawyer on retainer. Seriously. Working under a car or any heavy object is dangerous. Working with electrical connections is dangerous. I would say use common sense but that seems to be a lot harder to find now-adays. Basically, if you damage or destroy something, it's all on you buddy. If you crush yourself under your car or anything heavy (or light for that matter) I will simply tell your grieving widow that natural selection is a bitch. If you go blind welding because you didn't wear protective lenses I'll ask you "how many fingers am I holding up?".

This is why 100% of M50 swappers have never stuck it in their loved one's pooper, because it's a challenge...

                  But it's so worth it.

It is also far too much effort and cost, for the minimal power gain.
