I saw a late black 325i sedan this morning on 580, I think you were getting off at Hwy 24. I was all super stealth in the GF's 2012 base grey honda civic. Almost invisible.

pulled up behind an alpine white 318i sedan yesterday in my derelict lachs sedan around 4:30 getting onto 880 near Lake Merrit. Honked at yo ass and got a r3v back. It was rad.

why doesn't everyone have the original plate?

Mine doesn't because it has only been in the state for 10 years.

CHP has also apparently been writing fix-it tickets for old plates losing their reflectivity, happened to a couple people I know this year. Anyone who has old-school plates and wants to keep them would probably be advised to spray them with reflective clearcoat or risk being forced to update.
