I'm watching T.V. with the wife at the moment of the quacke and since we live on the second floor we heard wood cracking and snaps, then my daughters yelled out "DADDY". I run to the their room and hold them and tell them it was nothing, thoug I'm scare about it as well.....

I've personally been in some shitty ones back in the 80's but these little ones still scare the shit out of me and I can't even began to think what the little ones must think.

I lived in LA all my life and at the time I was staying with an old girlfriend in the Venice-La Cienega area and that shit was crazy yo!, it felt like a fucking freight train derailed right outside the front door.

My wive's sister was at her best friends house in northridge then which turned out to be the one all over the news with the fallen first floor.......small world.

I lived about 20 miles from the 1971 Sylmar quake.

I was 8.

I slept through it.

I'm weird, but I think earthquakes are exciting! I have felt at least 20 earthquake all my life and the strongest one was 7.8 on the Richter in the Philippines back in 1990, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1990_Luzon_earthquake/. We were kinda homeless for a little bit after the quake lol, but it was an exciting and memorable experience as I lived through it.


The past two quakes were baby ones which I both felt, so I'm waiting and I'm prepared for the next big one which they say will be around 7.0 on the Richter.
