Does anybody recommend a specific that does good chrome polishing? I searched for a while and didn't really find anywhere in particular

You might want to consider powdercoating. Nu-Tec in Anaheim does all kinds of specialized powdercoatings (714) 632-5045. If you want the covers chromed or polished, they'll refer you to Al Reed Polishing which is right up the street from them.sigpic
