Wheels Jacked - Please Keep an Eye/Ear Out

It seems someone took a liking to my wheels and instead of buying some similar to them or offering me money for mine, they saw fit to come by last night, jack up the car, remove the rears and put the chassis down on blocks in the rear. I would really like to think that someone looked at the condition of the paint on the car and decided that this wouldn't be a big deal. If that is the case and anyone knows the people that did this, convince them to get the wheels back to me within a week and this will be over, no questions asked. I am a car enthusiast and someone not only has stolen something of mine, but they violated my property and me. The value of each wheel is approximately $200 plus $100 for each tire, which puts this into Grand Theft according to the law. If after this grace period I find anyone with these wheels/tires and zero proof of purchase they will be needing to seek legal council to get out of jail. Police report is on file already. I have never seen another set of these wheels around, so someone showing up with JUST two of these at a meet will be highly suspicious.

Hopefully someone on here will see a CL/eBay or forum ad that I might miss or catch wind of someone boasting about the old school wheels they boosted. At this point anything will help. I want the wheels back since they are NLA and hard to find. Thanks in advance!

    Specs:

At an angle so you can get some perspective on the depth of the lip:

    How the car was left:

And FYI, they tried to steal the fronts too but were too weak to break the bolts free, so they it seems they bailed.

    wheels

I would leave the car as it sits for a couple of days and hope the dumb ass will return for the fronts thinking the car is of no interest to some one and then beat their asses.

Already put a set of e30 baskets on the rear, the city has laws against leaving the car like that. :(

San Diego, Mira Mesa area, which could be the problem since it is heavily populated with imports. And since 4x100 fits several popular-to-mod Japanese cars, probably going to see them rolling on the rear of some Civic, Teg or Miata. :( ...hopefully wasn't jacked by a Dubber, but I'm going to show up at some of the local meets this week to see if anyone is running my rims.

I'm really sorry to see this, Doug. I'll keep my eyes peeled on crazedlist for you. I have a set of E21 turbines sitting on the side of my house with good rubber on them. If you want to hook up this weekend you can have them. PM me here or on bf.c if you want them.

Man, that really sucks. I've always wondered why wheels didn't have some sort of anti-theft device. Like you'd need the car's key to remove the bolt cap etc..

I'll keep an eye out for them on CL 4 u.
