    Registering an out of state car here in CA...

    Hey guys, I'm looking to buy an e30 from an out-of-state seller, anyone know of what's required to register it here in So Cal? I mean, I don't think the car has a "50-state approved" emissions sticker (don't think they had those back in the early '90's).

    Do I just need to get it smogged???

      You will need to go to DMV and get a vehicle verification. They will do a visual, then send you to get a smog cert.

          I bought my car in Oregon.
          It has the 50 state emmisions sticker.

          All I did was buy the car, go get it smogged, and then go to the DMV and pay the fees to register it and stuff.
