So for those following my S10 vs 318ti vs E36 M3 saga I would like to update you.

On Sunday I went to see the S10 I've had my eye on for a couple weeks. The guy was originally asking $4000 and had already agreed to $3000. After checking it out in person it ran great but needed a couple things. The radiator is cracked and leaking from the side tank, the valve cover gasket was leaking, and the oil pan gasket was leaking. Also pulled to the right and I believe just needs an alignment and RF tire. I offered the guy $2500 and explained why. He wasn't interested so I left.

Yesterday he took it in to CarMax where he bought it 6 years ago. He got an appraisal on the truck and they told him it's worth $2000-$2500. He emailed me back this morning telling me this and that he wished he had taken the $2500 offer I gave him. I had told him on Sunday I didn't know when I'd have time to make it back down to Garden Grove if he did end up changing his mind on my offer. Long story short all on his own he offered me the truck for $2200 and is dropping it off at 5:30pm.

wow, that is a steal. my dad was cashed out $5500 by state farm for his SLS just over a year ago.
