wow brett bad luck i guess. I drive around town like a mad man and still never been asked about my muffler, shit i was pulled over a few weeks back for my crack windshield after TPD drove next to me for 5mins , i even asked if my exhaust was loud, they said it was iffy.
Im pretty sure my exhaust is louder than yours too, yours however sounds pretty raspy. GL man , RBpd sucks ass btw

i went to the honda dealership on van nuys earlier and i test drove a 2000 323i bmw. lets just say i scared the sales rep pretty bad. i was on the 101 and i touched over 100mph and this is what he said to me:

salesman: "why are you driving like this??!!!!"
me: "it's a bmw, sit back and enjoy."

dude dont get a 323i for reals unless your only going for looks. that is a de-tuned engine, on a nice day your m20 makes just about the same power...and that car is heavier...
