Trust me its hard to find a 325i 5speed. Ive been looking the past 2weeks with a 2500 budget noluck. So I picked a eta that allready had goodies on the cheap. Left over money will make this a fast eta :)

He wanted 2850 down after everything taxes and all that come out to 1500 the rest is their commission and I took the car to long beach BMW and my BMW Tech that used to be an engineer for the e30s and e36s and everything was all taken care of and great condition

$500, $1000, whatever it all goes to the car, right? It's not like he changed the price on you, just how much up front. That's all I'm saying...no reason to stress or insult the dude. Just move on to something within your price range or if it's in your price range suck it up if you want the car badly enough.

The problem I saw with that car you mentioned was if he's willing to do shady/illegal nonsense to get it into your hands then it begs the question of what he was willing to do to get it and then flip it. Wasn't he claiming he was the second owner? But in reality there's no way to guarantee that history and I his ad alone was a red flag that he isn't trustworthy/ethical.

Financially it wasn't up to him to make the down because he's not the finance company the bank said yes to 1500 and 258 a month but he personally wanted more down why I don't know but I'm good no more dealers for me at least private sellers keep it straight up and either say lets make this deal or not end of story no need to beat around the bush
