PO tried to roll the upper most part of the fender for his gay 17" XXR's and cracked the paint under the lip which is common as you know. Wasn't enough roll for my wheels, obviously, so I finished the job with a heavy hammer.
Now if I can find a proper way to remove the FLAT BLACK he sprayed the fender lips with for rust prevention, I'll be happy. :loco:
Its probably patches of base metal underneath it. Otherwise he would have had not reason to paint it. You can try paint thinner and a rag. That will take off some cheap spray paints.
In other news my buddies shop just bought a big powder coating oven so i'll be able to do m50 valve covers soon.

ABS plumbing glue for the cracks. The Missing chunks will need to be hand shaped by fiberglass unless you know someone with a complete lip. I could makes a mold of the broken sections and glass them in. Might want to just let me borrow a nice one and i'll have a mold made to reproduce them at $120 a pop.

You should hit up Wheelhop cuz the one he got from Jean was flawless lol
You could modify the ends and make your reproductions flat on the bottom where it reaches the wheel arch (see bronzit for comparison) That's what seems to have failed on both sides of the lip.
I'm scared to try that tbh. I can't use some sort of alcohol to remove it?
Nail polish remover and rubbing with a cloth hardly took it off.
Buzz cans are usually acetone base. Acetone can be used to remove it but first test it on your paint in an area that is not seen to make sure it does not take off your paint. Newer paint jobs use acetone as a base too so if it is a respray you may not be able to use it. Go slow and don't apply too much at one time to a rag. I tried it on the lips of my style 5's to remove the gunk from wheel weights and it started to eat up the clear coat so be careful with it.
