Stock brakes are fine, unles you're tracking or becoming a F1 driver in the e30. Get good pads, rebuild your calipers, replace brake lines to the SS ones and then comeback with a review.
I don't get the thrill of a BBK if you're still on a stock m20?

5 lug swaps are nice, if you can get the right stuff at a reasonable price., the reason why most people do it, is for a better choice of wheels but honestly, look around and you'll find plenty of 4x100 wheel choices, hell you can even go CCW nowadays. There's a thread out there that talks about the truth behind 5 lug swaps. Look for it and make your choice.

24v look so good inside the e30 engine bay ;)

      That is all......good morning y'all :D

So your telling me stock calipers work just fine??? I don't get it amiga??? ;)

New pads and rotors were the first things I bought before leaving Sac with the car. The braking performance was so crap compared to what I was used to I thought something was wrong. Braking wasn't that much of an improvement TBH, and i was so pissed i didnt even bother posting it in the build.. Lol
I would eventually do SS lines as well, but I doubt they will improve hraking by 300%. I was thinking direct bolt on e32 740i master cylinder upgrade; I've heard a lot of people say they get a nicer firm brake feel and really like the upgrade. But since I'm doing an s54 swap down the road I'll need a new booster and MC. BBK is definitely going to be after the swap; if braking is this bad already, I don't want to risk it with double the ponies, and 1500% of initial investment into my e30 by that time ;)

^ Something probably is wrong with your braking system!
Stock brakes shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable!

^Prolly.. I'll look into it more, all I know is that I definitely keep my distance now haha
Fear of crashing my little scoots.. Let's just say its not totally spongy to where you've fully pressed the rakes and almost nothing, but it's crap compared to my previous DD. probably the only thing Isis's from my old Jap-attack compared to the e30. Need to retire ABS too... PO cut the lines clean apart. When I saw that I was like

"PO... WHY U MAKE LIFE HECK???"

How does it look from up close, especially around trims and such? Pics hide all too much...

looks great actually, or well I feel so. It's far from a show car but it's far from what it was before the paint job. There's just a few runs of clear in a few spots but those go away with buffing/wet sanding which I'm having done in socal sometime. I'd have it done over here but I'm not staying long enough unfortunately.
