I'm going to flush my radiator this weekend since the water is fucking brown. Any tips or tricks I should know when changing on an m30b35 engine?

yeah DIY is pretty straight forward. But it wouldn't be a flush without hooking it up to a pump that will clean all the junk out.

Yes, DIY. What is this pump you speak of? Can it be rented? My fluid is pretty bad, it was already flushed once and after a while more sediment has shown up.

Not sure if they have those for rent lol. When i worked at a shop, we used a machine that would suck up all the coolant under a vacuum then push back clean coolant. Would this about 4 times with car running.

we used this machine but didnt do the back flush. btw in this vid the car should have been running to get all the coolant front the block/heater core

can't you just run the car for a couple minutes and let the water work it's way out? Then refill and restart the car and let it work its way back?

open drain plug on side of block... stick hose inside of the expansion tank . let filter for 5min+. bingo.
Then drain as much of the water as possible and fill with BMW coolant and distilled water.

cool, thanks! Can I do like 90% water and 10% coolant with water wetter? I mean, does the coolant do anything other than keeping the water from freezing? In my turbo car I was told to run just water and water wetter, no coolant.
