well thats the thing i like the height of the lever i just want it a little smoother , and bit shorter throw thats why i liked the x5 lever in chaz's car

oh yeah you don't happen to remember what trans and drive shaft is in there? ( i know its a G260 but im not sure if its an early or late model same with the driveshaft)

if i remember correctly, the X5 and z3 1.9 levers have identical throws. the only difference is that one sits higher and angled. the knob you have makes a ton of difference in 'smoothness' too, but the one in your car should be less notchy than an X5.
