Something to that effect. Most people who bash on a gas brands are basing their decision on stigma. Usually the same people who talk smack about McDonalds but drink Starbucks and smoke'

Back in the 70s and 80s the worst gas you could put in a BMW was Shell. BMW was able to prove (thanks to my grandfathers efforts) that their inferior gas was destroying the engines and successfully sued the pants off them. They have since cleaned up their gas but every company has isolated incidences of bad batches of gas or contaminated holding tanks.
I have two Arcos next to my haus and over the years i've driven in there to put gas and I have had no issues.
    I've owned:
Hondas, Subarus, BMW ,Mercedes and Hondas and not once did I have any issues. When money was tighter I would probably go there for months at a time. Now I just fill up whatever is closer but I really don't see a difference.

If Arco was truly ruining cars we would have seen them sued many times over the years. I just haven't seen any kind of imperical evidence that would suggest their gas blows.

My only problem with Arco is that they charge to use debit cards.

The gas stations that use the colors red white and blue are clearly better for your car:)

I think gas stations that provide window cleaning fluid and not just water are better than those that do not. I mean if a place is well kept and stock I would assume that they probably also care more about the parts that we dont see such as the cleanliness of he pumps innerworkings..

but you know to be honest i'm just talking out of my ass.

The biggest difference now would be additives. The actual gasoline part of the mix is pretty much equal since California has pretty high fuel quality requirements for emissions. You pretty much choose your detergents. People with older carburated cars will probably notice a particular blend of gas might give them hard cold starts and such but that's usually on cars that don't run the greatest to begin with. I tend to stick with Chevron or Mobil because I like Jectron and Techron cleaners for my fiances car. I personally run diesel # 2 usually or e85 so i don't read much in to the reports anymore. But i do use United Oil in my motorcycle. Its good enough to cold start a 12.5:1 CR motor with a weak battery and a cam that does not like idle.

But enough about gas. How long do you think Subaru will wait to come out with an STi version of the BRZ. I'm guessing 12-18 months.

Guys, since there is no SoCal WTB thread let me throw this out there.

I am looking for Euro Smiley's with HIDS installed on my car. I'm going to need Pigtails and the soldering of the wires and the relays and all that junk.

I know there are some for sale but I want to take this further and not only buy them but have that person do the proper install of the Smileys along with the HID kit.

I don't know how long it would take but I'd be willing to pay for the labor and the parts as long as this person can do it at my haus. PM me if you know someone willing to do this and provide the goodies.

I have an 87 so it's the crappier wiring.

I do not solder and I'm whatever I do takes twice as long as the next guy!

My diet of monster and pop tarts is killing my stomach. Smells like i've been eating raw sewage.

Update. Now it smells like old fireworks.
