    And Pennzoil is garbage? Since when? Do you know anything about Platinum Ultra? Have you read oil analysis and OCI's on it? It's great stuff, equal to or better than Mobil 1. It can also be gotten in Euro formula, but 5w-40 or 10w-40 would be fine for an S52 (hell, even 10w-30 would be fine, we live in SoCal...)

    I run 10w30 Pennzoil Platinum Ultra in my Evo and its engine undergoes quite a but more stress than most S50/S52's. ;)

          I was not aware that anyone ever stated it did. The quality of the oil and its ingredients (or lack thereof) in formulation is what I was referencing in terms of how it handles engine stress.

            Okay, just wanted to make sure i ordered the right part.

            Right now my car is running AKG Polyurethane Motor Mounts and I can feel EVERYTHING the engine does. I want to smoothen it out ALOT.

            I've heard I need to get e28 535i motor mounts.

              You understand that the S52 in an E30 uses an E34 oil pan, right? They take 6 quarts.

              I'll pass on arguing about oil brands though.

                        Yes, I understand that. I also understand that it's safe to overfill an S52 with E34 oil pan past 6.1 quarts as the engine has the capacity hold up to 7 safely even with E34 oil pan; autocrossers/track guys do it all the time. And M50/S50 series is known to burn oil usually.

                        I'd say it'd be more dangerous to just do 6.1 quarts due to oil burning. Even with 7 quarts of oil you can measure it out and it's not overfilled to an unacceptable level. 8 quarts on the other hand...

                          Sup, work slowed back down for a few days so it's time to show the Mtech a little attention. Yesterday I took it for a drive for the first time in a few months after getting a new battery. I am working on modifying a Hartge dead pedal to fit the vert. I hurts to cut on a old tuner pedal but it had some corrosion so it was the perfect candidate.
