The angle of the camber plate with respect to the horizon is not parallel with the top hat. Only a corner of the bearing sees the load.

Yes. The picture is not to scale either. lol. I just did it more extreme to demonstrate the issue. In real life its probably a difference of 1-2 degrees between the top hat and the camber plate but that makes all the difference in the world. I've come up with a solution though with out having to copy vorshalgs design.
