    Yeah it seems to look pretty damn straight, even after I took off the psgr fender and poked around. Need to figure out how to carefully break off the old spot welds and get someone to weld in the new support.

    Harry, might have to pick your brain on banging out one of the fenders when I see ya for that tie rod.

    I just wanna drive this thing already!!

      Drop the s14 into your e30 and put the v8 into the m3.

      Lol Jk, keep the m3 with the s14

              If you can get all the measurement specs I can weld in the new core. Then you can grind down the welds and make them look pretty. Or just have it towed to a body shop one you have the old one out and the new one prepped to go in. Should not be more then $150. They usually charge about $50/hr to weld.

                What measurements do you need, how far back along the rails it sits? I should probably figure all that out before I try popping it off.

                Was thinking about driving it to an exhaust shop literally around the corner like a boss with no fenders. I don't know if they'd be willing or able to do it though.

                    If I had an E30 M3 I'd pay a body man to weld it up real purdy-like.

                    Mike are you planning to keep this car? (And the others?)

                            shit yes, looks like e28 rear shocks might fit my car! My suspension setup is going to be a bastardization of BMW stuff.

                              anyone here know how to calculate the weight of an object placed at the end of a horizontal pole?

                              --|---------|---:----------------:----------------:----------------O

                              key:
                              | = place of mount
                              :--: = 5ft pole segment
                              O = object

                              can't seem to figure it out. say the object at the end weighs something like 6lbs and each segment of pole weighs something like 3lbs each. what would the total weight be in the end at the end of the pole with the affixed object?
