True story, you can watch the gas gauge move when you drive the truck. We might be getting 10mpg. LOL I bought the truck about 5 years ago for $2000 and I am sure that we have spent more money in gas since then. But, the old 3/4 ton truck pulls a trailer like it is not even there.

Yea I had to drive super controlled (which is pretty tough at times cause I love to put my foot down in every thing) and even with economical driving the first 2.5 hours only paid for gas and then one hour paid the taxes because at the time I didn't know I could claim myself :idiot: so majority off the time I was living on 4.5 hours a day at $8 not including food and car insurance (parents helped a bit too).
That is probably where I would draw the line verbal abuse usually makes me want to use my fist, but I completely understand how real that last statement is.

I think all odd jobs I've been in are similar to the stories above, untrained short paid and expect to carry a bigger workload than the seniority, as if what I did wasn't enough.. To top it off drive 28 miles each way..I feel your pains, however I can't relate to the gas guzzlers, I've never had the need for one, but maybe one day.Comment

I think its mostly because my pops is trying to relive his glory days. lol. Right now he has 4 v8 cars. 350 chevy, 500 cadillac, 429 cadillac, and the 4.0 range rover. I think hes insane for wanting only v8 cars. I keep telling him to get a 4 banger since his gas bill is about 1500 a month. My mpg on average is 3x better than his.

My girlfriend, just out of high school, dad had a 429 Cadillac we had some great time in that car. She was fun to jump on and feel the power. ;DI think its mostly because my pops is trying to relive his glory days. lol. Fixed and me too. This is one of the cars that really hit the spot for me.

Can I just say that I would love to have a 63' Nova coupe, no B pillar, LS1, FORD 9" rear end, 17x9-17x11 old school Craigar type wheels, Wilwood brakes, on coilovers and lots of patina, with a clean ass fuck interior. :pimp:@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment

Nice ride and the Cragar wheels were my favorite back in the day.
