Hey guys, so I was wondering if you could help me out? So I'm looking for a several classic cars locally (socal) for use as "prop cars" for comic-con for a major movie studio and i was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting up what I'm looking for?
So I need to find a C1 corvette (1953-62) a 1949-1958 Buick special 2-door and an all red Cadillac El Dorado convertible 1959-60, I know its kinda unorthodox but some of these cars are fairly hard to find so I need all the help I can get. Have them call me at 9098094182 or email me, thank you heres some pics

So...I just wanna take a moment and vent so I can say....
I'm so sick of parts clerks at places arguing with me about what parts I need. I'll usually go into the stores knowing the PN or part I need and more often then not, I'll get a condescending look accompanied by a "lecture" ...Yes I am sure I need ATF for my power steering, No I'm not interested in "upgrading" to platinum plugs. Yes, that Honda part is compatible with my Acura, I promise!
Same thing happens with my bike too. Went in for a sprocket/chain replacement. Was flat out told the part I requested was wrong, and how he "knew these bikes inside and out bro" Was then sold the "right" part, got home, part is wrong...obviously. Came back, gave him the part trying to keep my attitude as calm as possible and firmly stated what I needed.
Tries to argue with me again and cover his ass saying I have a conversion kit or that something is after market and that's why it was wrong. No I've done the maintenance and repairs on all my shit, I know what's in it. I didn't even come in asking for blahblah for my bike model. I gave you the PN I needed and if you'd given me what I'd ask for in the first place, we would be fine instead of me having to make another trip.

I have never had a problem with parts service reps. But then again I've only predominantly dealt with Savage BMW in Ontario and BMW of Roseville. Both parts counter folks are knowledgeable, know about e30s, and know me personally as one of the regulars. I try to avoid Autozone/Pepboys/etc at all cost; 98% of the counter guys don't know crap
The only people I've had an issue with when ordering parts is Pelican Parts. I've had more than just a few bad transactions with them to just brush aside. Screw themLast edited by JinormusJ; 07-11-2014, 03:22 PM.
