I love when people ask me for a jump and I back up to put the car into position
They usually give me this confused or aggravated look until I pop the trunk and they see the battery
I could almost swear you're supposed to use the live connection by the firewall and ground post on the strut tower on the right side of the engine bay for Jump starting; per the owners manual. Which still baffles people when you don't connect to a battery, but a couple of "bolts"
So I'm at Mt.Sac this morning studying. pack up an hour ago to go to work. Get out to the car (honda) and try to start it. Nothing, no tired turnover, no clicks, zilch. I'm thinking, "well that's odd". Went and popped the hood.....someone decided to help themselves to my battery!? No hacked wires, the connectors were neatly loosened with the tie down politely set in the tray.
Yes, my doors were left unlocked, but the thief didn't touch anything valuable. (including the remote jump starter in the trunk, ironically.) He just nabbed the battery and left. So now I'm stranded at school with class @ 5pm. Guess I'll just call AAA after class and go from there (can't find any auto parts store within walking distance).
You left your doors unlocked or the thief did?
Anyways, that sucks dude.
I left right before the crane pulled up the street (to drop my 885 head off to be machined actually)
When I get back it's still upright, but just hanging out at the corner. I thought it was just parked at the time, So I go find another space and while I'm parking I hear a loud thud.
I think nothing of it, round the corner and start to laugh my ass off as I see the thing toppled over.
Luckily no one was hurt.
It happened when they had to cut the corner too close because another car was parked across the street. The driver got out to see how much clearance he had (He had already run into the street sign at that point) and the thing just got toppled over into the house!
News choppers have come by so check it on the news tonight (must've been a slow news day I guess).
The thing is still there, they're leaving it for tomorrow.
