The hi-po cam has a higher lift and gets rid of the valve float up to about 7000 rpm's pending on the grind.

So this morning on my way to work I noticed the E30 making a funky noise. Its sort of like a whirring or light grinding sound coming from the rear of the car. Gets louder the faster I go. Completely quiet when car is stationary. Car still drives and shifts smooth though. I'm thinking it's the diff. Anybody have a S3.xx diff they wanna gift me?

ive never had valve float , my ecu is chipped and revlimiter is only at 6800 rpms.
But im pretty sure the cam is 100% stock. The PO said they did head work but never said anything about a cam. I still want to get a re-grind, smothing with a aggressive feel and tune :D

Humping a junkyard sounds like it's going to hurt

Twist your ICV around with a wrench or hand whatever.
