Hi Mike,

The Mtech had a problem with the fuel gauge when I got it. It worked but was not accurate. It would only read 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank after fill up. I put in a late model fuel gauge and it has been working fine. I think that there is a difference in the sending units so if you have not tried early and late model fuel gauges you may want to give that a try. I read that you have tried 3 different gauges. Were they all the same year model? I know that someone changed the cluster in mine. I have a couple of fuel gauges and a bunch of cluster parts. No ETA stuff though.

Yeah I had the same issue, my driver side sender went out a few months ago. Late model tanks were a couple gallons bigger, so early gauges will read empty sooner in a late model. I'm having an issue with the temp on this one. It will snap on but never gets over blue. It's an early cluster with 3 service lights. From everything i've done and read over the past year, the only somewhat 'non-compatible' clusters are pre-86 ones. I've never really messed with one until now.

so i was driving on the freeway today and i look at my cluster and none of my gauges are working. lights still turn on... i checked the fuses and replaced some but still no activity. any thoughts guys? i cant tell how much gas i have or the temp of my engine!

I went to this a couple of years back with my 91 318is.I had lap times around 2:12 to 2:15 avg speed of 80 mph. Stock 318is other than a chip,full mods suspension though on NTO1's
