i planned on hitting the wheel with aircraft paint stripper, the washing it with degreaser a few times, then hitting it with self etching primer, then filler primer, sanding it, filler primer again, then base coat, then actual color coat, then clear coat.

Sand/bead blast is the best and easiest way to do it, unless you plan to polishComment

what do you mean? I was there for most of it.
