Dude! That's my buddies!! He totaled his e39 wagon when a semi clipped him and made his car flip 3 times. He made it out fine with only bruises and scrabought and bought that dream of a car afterward. Not exactly sure why cause he's got a wife and kids! and I didn't exactly think e28s were a huge family car compared to his e39..
Not sure why he's selling it so soon either, but that thing is a monster! Absolute joy to drive :)

No E28 will get 35 mpg without extensive de-ballification. I have two of them and love 'em both, great cruisers as long as the bushings aren't too bad.
