Well since I can't find the R3Vd thread so I'll post it here...

I was on the freeway when my car started making a loud ticking noise. At this point I was going up a large hill and lost power. I was able to restart my car after getting to the shoulder and limping my car up the hill. I noticed white smoke coming out of the exhaust. So... it looks like I will be rebuilding my engine and doing a 5 speed swap because I believe the torque converter is going out as well.

its around, works, but the transmission is on its way out again (last time it cost $5k) and the front drive shaft is busted so it shakes like a mofo on acceleration and turns.
