                                    My car refuses to start and the wire looks damaged on the CPS.

                                    And the starter is not making any noise when I attempt to start up the car.

                                            cps has nothing to do with sending signal to the starter. Make sure you have enough voltage at the battery

                                                sounds like your neutral safety wiring from the swap may have been subpar. check pos cable on batt and starter too. should still crank with a bad cps.
