meh, only really hit issues on the main roads. don't think i've ever seen a cop on the actual mountain passes. it'd have to be a pretty big effort to coordinate crown vics to catch most of the smashers i think. i do know there's often trouble on mulholland between las virgenes and canaan. i heard something about an 'insider informant' that the cops gave an e39 M5 to that led to a few impounds...kid ended up crashing and died. impounds stopped.

I wouldn't touch cannan. Fast canyon nice with the tunnels, but to many cops. Caught my friend in his integra doin 80 on a downhill right out of the tunnel. I was behind him all I saw was a cloud of dust as the black & white flew out from behind a tree. Anyways goodluck & drive safe

my favorite is latigo canyon. my car is high enough that the opening ruts don't wreck my shit. great empty drive. i probably know las flores the best though.

I know stunt piuma & tuna the best. Haven't run tuna too many times. Killer on the brakes. By the time I hit pch my rotors were glowing I'm at awe at how I don't fly off the canyon every time I run. Anyways it's one lane, one way, no guard rails. There is one tricky turn on stunt going towards the pch. It's a blind uphill turn that turns into a sharp left. Always see friends hop their cars on that turn.

there's a retaining clip that's a complete asshole while the trans is in the car. but it can be done as long as the driveshaft is out of the way.

Also Latigo, piuma, and stunt road are where it's at. Pare it's funny that you mention the Santa susana pass and box, as those are my test roads for my car :D

Yea those r my test roads too haha. I hate how they blocked off the top of stunt though. I used to just post up there pop my hood & cool off.

Anyways what do u guys do before u hit up a canyon? I turn off my radio, pull my seat up ,and lock up my seatbelt so it holds me in my seat. Roll down my windows so i can listen to my tire grip. Oh & tell whoever I'm with to sit down shut.

So is it weird that my temp gauge is rising when I go up big hills? Also... like 7/10 times while I'm shifting the temp gauge jumps around as well. Any ideas on what this might be because of? I'm fairly sure I got most of the air out of the coolant.
