on the bright side, the ix has a new home back in santa monica. didn't get what i had hoped for it, but at least a solid car is with someone that seems to have the right goals for it.

the guy that hit me is being a REAL smartass now. he's refusing to pay for new grills to replace my cracked ones on the basis that we had an agreed price and it's my responsibility now. i had them shipped from the UK. i am absolutely drawing the line there. i should not have to pay out of pocket for another set.

you shouldnt have to pay out of pocket for anything. theres no way 1200 doesnt cover all that, especially for what theyre going for right now. if insurance doesnt cover it, he better come out of pocket for the shops fuckery

well the difficult part is that it was supposed to be a more or less routine respray. after being hit at the shop, all the problems started. nothing really lines up anymore and no one wants to take responsibility for that.

i'd rather have denali drag marks across my hood than this shit.

as would anybody else. but i dont see why the shop isnt taking responsibility for a problem that occurred while the car was under their possession...

maybe its time to involve the authorities. if not to accomplish anything, at least to show you doth giveth no fux about them and you mean business

I just raised my car. Fucking too much stress driving that low man.
It's like falling in love with my car all over again with the fact that I can now cruise not having to reading road braille 24/7.

My skid is so toast now too. 3 years of abuse makes it easy bendable now. Kind of like after bending a paper clip back and forth weakening it and finally snapping. Its a remarkable thing that piece of steel. I'm buying a new one after I put in taller engine mounts and lower it again.

That drive was so much fun, my first one out, i remember loving the houndstooth cards you had in there Ben, still sad you left that car :[ and the photographer emailing you about the group of bmw c class drivers was hilarious
