Make sure it is worth it to call your insurance company. I believe claims that aren't your fault can still go on your record and in turn, your insurance goes up.

Especially that kind of damage. Best thing to do is just call them. Explain your predicament and follow through with the question. If what you hear is a turn-off, just hang up.

When I heard LP dangling keys and clapping like 'tards on Minutes to Midnight, I was in a suspension of disbelief.
