He also at one point put transmission fluid in his power steering resivoir and couldnt figure out why his power steering wasn't working right...swapped poly motor mounts for stock, swapped BBK for stock, turned a very very nice and clean interior into a cirucs...and went back and forth with throwing diving boards on and removing his plastic bumpers

I'd swap out poly motor mounts for stock ones. Why would you want them anyway. Because they are going to improve your performance??? I dont get why people want them. The only time it makes sense is to keep something from rubbing. Like a down pipe on a GTI. His car did not have plastic bumpers. If you ever delt with fiberglass bumpers you'd want them off too.

I just swapped out my motor mounts/trans mounts for brand new OEM ones and it's much smoother now. There's no need for anything stiffer on a DD.

lol I remember that. But I will say that the rubber mounts are better if you want smoother ride quality.

There's no need for anything stiffer on a DD.
