Note to BMW, why is the new door cylinder a few thousandths bigger on the lower tab than the original and won't fit into the door? Time for a little file job to make it fit.

      Cheers,

      Jim

I just did the drivers side on the e28, which I think is the same as e30. It was also bigger, but i was able to twist it in.

when talking about engine swaps/etc, what does 24v mean? is it the name of an engine like m20b25?

side question: what did the 24v originally go in? e36? e##?m#?

I did the rebuild kit but it has all new parts and one of them was just too tight so a little filing to fit the door made it perfect. I am ordering 3 more rebuild kits next week to do the passenger door on the Mtech and both doors on the M3. The old one was really worn out and had stress cracks here and there. It's such a cheap fix for our old cars it's worth the time and effort involved.

On another note I just took apart 3 vert doors to fix the one on the car. The rear channel spot welds had broken loose so I pulled apart the second door to scavenge that part. The third door had good glass so no more scratches on the drivers side window.

          Cheers,

          Jim

If anyone who lives near Burbank is willing to pick up a part for me, and ship it to me, please pm me. I will compensate you $30 for your time, and pay for shipping ofcourse. If you are interested, please let me know. The part is not oversized or heavy, so it shouldn't be a problem to ship.

24v means the number of valves. Your m20 is a 12v. And 1992 I believe was the first e36 so then. But no care unless s50/52.

A hot dog from ikea was $0.30...with fries and drink $1.35.

There were giant families buying boxes of hot dogs...McDonald's is considered high brow.

Wrong Sprint and Verizon use CDMA while other networks use GSM. You need a Global Ready phone for it to work in Europe. But max speeds you'll probably get is 3G.
