if you would like to learn more about how to handle your car on the canyons, then please come talk to me as I can teach y'all how to handle your e30s. I have taught many people on how to race their cars in different race tracks using different cars and it is 'cuz I have had enough experience and driving hours at actual race tracks (Willow Springs International Raceway is one of them).


To be honest with you, the only person I am comfortable going fast on the canyons would be Rob as I have seen his lines and he actually knows how to heel-and-toe/rev match upon entering the turn and modulating the gas during and after the apex. There are other people that I am comfortable with, but may need a little bit more practice especially after seeing their lines.

Basically, turn early because the goal is less steering especially during the turns. Brake early and do not brake during the turn as that can cause you to under-steer. Make sure you got good tires if you decide to turn quicker than the suggested turning limit (mph), otherwise, follow the limit when turning into the apex and accelerate your way out of the apex. I hope these basic info helps.

I understand I'm not the best out there, but I know some of the roads pretty well. I would definitely put John (Balleristic's dad), Rob, Nigel, and the Castros as the best drivers in the group. I consider myself pretty good, but it helps that my car is set-up so well.

Either way, it was a lot of fun last time staying behind John! I can't believe how hard he was pushing that car with all the passengers and the mild suspension set-up!
I'd love to see what he could do behind the wheel of my car. I need to take lessons from him not Jerri! :nice:

sorry to say man this is invite only. Nothing against you at all its just we dont know your driving habits and we dont want anything bad to happen. maybe if you show up to a few meets and get to know us, you will get an invite. We just have to get to know you. Also we have a drive every month along with a meet every month. So you have some time and opportunity to get to know us.

So the reins have officially been passed off to me to plan the route. We all had a good time last time I planned it. If it weren't for that douche in the COSMOR then we would have had a much better time. The route will include some freeway driving for you guys further away and some great mountain driving around my old home town. We will work our way back to the 101 after the mountain trip. I would like to stop at a place to eat like maybe Carrows or Denny's in Ventura while we are on our way back. I will be in contact with Edwin on a route and I will get as detailed as possible when I do so.

This will definitely be fun I hope a lot of you guys can make it. And Angela, sorry I wasn't there for your last meet, not that it matters but Im sorry. Anyway best of luck to you in the future!!

And yeap, Rob is quite the fellah on the canyons. It was fun trying to keep up with him and his lines/braking are really good. This time I have fresh tires so it should be fun.
