SoCal, who needs their head ported and polished?

If anybody needs their head ported and polished, bent valves replaced, etc drop me a PM.

I have a very good friend who does machine work and he is willing to do side jobs. He is currently working on my M20 head doing a full port and polish, 3 angle valve grind, and valve seal replacement.

He is familiar with the BMW heads and is an E30 enthusiast as well.

Just to be clear, your cylinder head will need to be removed and brought to him. He is not offering mechanic services.

You have to take the head off to port/polish it. At that stage, changing the head gasket is a simple "lift old gasket off block, put new one on block" procedure. ;)

Interested in how much he charges, though. It would give me a reason to powdercoat the intake manifold, too.

Don't be afraid to ask... you may get made fun of but as long as people don't hate you, the question will be answered.

MCR, the head gasket is not part of the head. It's sandwiched in between the head and the block. If the head is already off, you can replace the head gasket, yourself, in about 5 seconds.
