Please read and give any advice, i really want to fix the problem myself and i really dont want to have to pay to get the problem diagnosed..
When driving, my car will run fine, but intermittantly it feel like its either choking out on air or fuel, and this problem only last a split second, does not affect the drivability, and the problem feels very similar to the feeling of bouncing off the rev limiter (which im sure we all know what that feels like ;)) i was told this was the mass air flow sensor, or air flow meter which ever one you want to call it, so i replaced it, yet the problem still exists, so i pulled off the distributor cap only to find the prongs were corroded and worn, so i did a tune up on it, yet the problem still exists.
It does it rarely at low rpm, but i can hear it at an idle (almost feels/sounds like its mis firing). And it is really noticable at higher rpm (around 3500 to 5000) And is worse depending on how much gas i give it..
Please help me diagnose the problem, i can come stop by your pad or what ever, bring a few brews and try and work this damn thing out.
Maybe a problem with the ecu? All of the check lights above the mirror stay on and i press the check button a bunch of times until it finally turns off if that says anything..
Figured there has to be someone in LA who could swap the ecu with me just to see if it fixes the problem, that way i can order a new one if i know thats the problem.. just really dont want to put any more money into it with out knowing the cause of the problem..
