Summer Dockweiler 2010 7/17

this is the second time this has happened on a summer Dockweiler meet. It sucks because people have to sit in shitty traffic and then have to be turned away from the gates. Once they get through all that, they get ass fucked at the gate for $10 parking. That was utter bullshit. Personally, Im over this venue. Each time we hold a meet, there's something else that goes wrong. Parking was horrific once again and I just cant get over $10 parking.

Im done ranting but thats how I feel. Maybe once a year but the summer Dockweiler is proving very fail worthy. I think the December meet should stay but we should find a better venue for the summer meet. There are hundreds of parking lots in L.A. not to mention parks and whatnot.

Taylor is right. I mean, we aren't even there for the beach so why are we paying $10 each and fighting crowds? We need to find a big park or a place that's more accommodating. For instance...El Dorado park, Wilson Park in Torrance, etc. A large park with plenty of parking, benches, etc would be perfect.

The parking situation was kind of shitty, and it was BS that they closed the gate, but it was still nice to meet everyone. Looking forward to the next winter Dockweiler.

I had the same complaint last Summer too. If each car contributed $10 for food instead of parking, we'd have a much better meet/picnic. Not only does food bring more people out it also keeps people around.

Sorry to hear about the meet guys. Just like last year I knew parking was going to be shit. I drove by around 6pm coming from SFV and by the beach it was 70* out , yo know every person is there. They had the "lot closed" sign up. Having his meet once a year is better , Plus! In Dec. no ones at the beach!!!!!!! thats why last Dec the meet was very good , plenty off ppl came in and hung out , I think 80 plus e30's showed up. Today i saw a group of e30's ( maybe 5 or 6 and a e36) waiting in line, the e36 took off, and i saw others take off as well. No offence , from what we had last year , Summer Dockweiler is a fail. Better luck to the net one.

i got really lucky and slipped through the gate first try:p.... sucks real bad for the people that got turned away. the turnout was half decent(not compared to last dockwieler meet). i enjoyed it for the time i was there.
a few of us and the castros crew went to a nice little mexican resturant afterwards(veddy niice!). i wasnt a big fan of their nachos though..... i was calling it, "chip soup" haha. good to see a few of you guys.

i got there at 4 pm
(thinking it would be nice to be early) and everytime i passed the gate it would be closed.

i ended up getting in at 8:30. The only reason i stayed so long was because i bough some parts from kev who also didnt get in. This was my first dockweiler and it sucked sweaty summer ass

i really did. everyone showed up rite on time when the gate would be open. but noone could predict when it would close.

as a summer meet i probably wont show up. but for December im deff gonna be there
