Anyone in nor cal have experience with an s50 cam swap? I know the bigger named shops can do it but do any of you have some experience as well? I'd be willing to pay someone to help me with my cam swap.
Should I replace vanos at the same time when doing the cams?
Or should I just ditch the stock motor and grab an s52 and call it a day?world renown Harry Potter expert

The cam swap is doable at home. Just work slowly and carefully and you won't have to worry about breaking anything.Anyone in nor cal have experience with an s50 cam swap? I believe you can shoehorn it into that engine bay. It's a mess to integrate the electronics, though. Better off doing the well-documented S50 swap.-Kalim

It's been alternating between east bay (Milpitas or Fremont) and peninsula (Tanforan or Millbrae BART if it's raining).

i moved to sf proper, been real busy and haven't had a lot of time to mess with car things. Trying to get back into it now, got springs for the e24 coming, not sure if I have the tools to install them.Comment
