    So Cal tarbo thread

As many of you know the castro and I have been kicking around the idea of offering a ready to bolt on kit. Well that day has finally come. To start we are doing a batch of 5 kits and we need to pull our resources to get everything done as cheap as possible. I'm going to get in contact with innovative to see about ordering in bulk to save. If anyone has connections or thoughts on equiptment let's discuss. For example what BOV are we going to use? I know people with greddy hook ups but what about synapse, hks, etc. Are we looking to include a mid pipe and muffler or just a DP. Standalone or maf conversion. Garrett or ITS T4 turbos. The list goes on and on. The one thing I will not accept is junk for this initial run. If you want a egay turbo and knock off bov and such that's fine. We'll sell you the hardware to bolt up to that stuff but we are not going to base our kits off of it. Last thing we need is to troubleshoot inferior parts.

Chris and I are going to order everything for the first 5 kits next week. Then figure a month of fab time jigs to be made and tuning.

At this point all I can say is it really all depends on the hardware and fuel management chosen. It could range from 1400 to 3000. That beeing said I'm going to aim for 2ish with all quality parts. That way if someone wants to buy everything but the turbo, bov, and wg they can bargain hunt and piece together their own setup. But initally I want to start high and allow people to build a cheap kit on their own.

That being said don't be surpised if you see a cheap kit on ebay useing all chinese hardware sold under a different alias. I figure it will give people a chance to have a better alternative then the cxracing kit.

i really think we should also do a kit for the Holset turbos. Those are pretty easy to come by, and they perform really well. We have my HX35 that we can use as a starter... ;)

Nothing wrong with having options. Deric makes a good kit that is hard to beat for the money. I almost bought one myself. This is just a different recipe. Bullet proof cast manifold, ITS or Garrett T4 turbo, GReddy RS or Synapse BOV, and a Tial 38mm wastegate. Any way you bake it i think we'll have a pretty sweet product too.

Don't forget guys there will be a build as you go option. Start with a tapped oil pan and wideband sensor ($200). Then get a 3" mandrel exhaust system (starts at $300 for cat back and $500 including 3" cat). Engine management comes next. Before you know it you have half the kit on your car and you won't feel left out one bit. Plus you'll have the mods you would have gotten anyway had you not went turbo and just wanted a better N/A car.

The kit will be based around this manifold to start with. It should be the most hassle free.
