I used to plan and be a part of all of them.... now Bfest is literally 4 minutes from my house.... Kinda cool, but I would LIVE for driving 60+ deep for a couple hours up the 101 with all sorts of scallywags of likeminded interest. Plus it seems like the current crop of e30 fanatic is getting sand all in their vagina about going ot bfest. Had you posted this thread 3-4 years ago, youd have many many more responses/invitations/information and answers to your question.

Well we are kinda the red headed step children of BMW world. Bfest is geared towards newer cars. So cal vintage is older. So we get doc weiler in the freezing rain.

How about we start a new "older BMW" meet in Santa Barbara?

Could probably get some sponsors on board... IE, UUC, Dinan, Ary (sigh), RGMW, some local shops. It would be strictly smaller than bimmerfest, which would make finding a place less difficult.

I understand that, and we knew that as well but we didnt really give a shit. We'd all hang out and let the idiots with their neon lights, sculpted spray-tanned abs, Ed Hardy shirts, scissor doors, and 22" wheels do their thing. We'd even meet new e30/e28/e21 enthusiasts that were looking like lost little fawns and guide them to our circle and show them an awesome time and usually make a friend for life. I guess we didnt concentrate on the fluff.

I didn't get guided the first year I went. Ended up parking next to a posrche and wandered the whole day by my lonesome. But my car did make it in to eurotuner in the wide shot.

If you were "keeping up" with a brand new 7, he wasn't pushing the gas.
