Yea one of the aston martin drivers, Allan Simonsen, happened early on in the race. RIP for him and a huge loss to the team.

Overall pretty good race, looking forward to silverstone this weekend.

First fatality at LeMans since like '97.
Ya, it was lap 3 or 4. Gnarly crash too. Twisted the frame and the roof, A LOT. Not just, "oh its a little tweaked, whatever its totaled". No this thing really got fucked up. The right rear wheel came off. He died on impact.
Ya, he went out like a fucking boss.

There was another crash, Oak Racing I believe (LMP2), spun out and smacked into the barrier so hard it broke the car in half, separated the motor and tranny from the chassis. Driver walked away.

Other than that, nothing. A few spins here and there, but no pile ups and none went air born. That my favorite.

Audi's 1 and 3 cars were having technical difficulties. But they all finished.

I wouldn't say that. Audi held 1st place the entire race.

I prolly won't watch it. After watching LeMans, nothing else really compares. Plus, I don't have cable. Only netflix.
I paid to have LeMans live streamed to my laptop. Stayed awake for 30 hours. 24 of it, nothing but watching LeMans.

Alexa got really annoyed when she came home from work to see me still watching it.

I was like "bitch, this is LeMans. It only happens once a year, quite yo bitchin"

She was like "oh can I do something once a year?", all sarcastic like.

I reply, "sure, go make me dinner".

                            ramen...

Most reports state he died at the hospital. To be honest It hasn't be a surprise to see Audi win overall in some time. I was more interested in some of the other class races and enjoyed the RSR's battling for the win against the C6R's, the Vipers were ho hum coming in 8th and 9th...

I enjoy both I didn't get to see all of LeMans but I saw good chunks here and there. I like forumla one as well and silverstone in particular should be interesting after the tire incident with mercedes and pirelli, coupled with red bull/ferrari's take on the matter. Hoping Kimi can have a good podium for silverstone as well as hamilton. Want to see it be a close drivers race even if not a constructors race this year. Would hate for vettel to walk away with this one again...

Really? I didn't hear any of those reports. But then again, I didn't follow them. I heard he was critical condition when emergency services got to him. Then maybe 20 or 30 mins later, it was announced he had passed. I just assumed it was from the impact.

Ya, I'm not shocked either. 4th win in a row. and what?.. 12th over all.

I was going to following the other classes, But I was really hoping Toyota would beat Audi. I'm not a Toyota fan by any means, but you know..

I might have to watch the other races. Kind of intrigued now. F1 has always intrigued me, (open wheel bitches lol)but i never really got into it, as of yet.
