Thats why I have my CA license plate under my euro one cause alot of my friends always tell me they got tickets in LA even if its on dashboard they won't accept it.Leave a comment:

You're boned.
They do this in Portland now, too. It's $50 here.
New BMWs don't come with a provision for front plates. You're supposed to use plastic tapping screws and screw it into the bumper. My buddy has a new X5M and refuses to screw a plate into the bumper. He just keeps paying the fines instead.Leave a comment:

LA's bad. I got a $115 parking ticket and my car's never been there. I produced a airline ticket that said I was in Hawaii at the time. BTW, I live in NorCal and no one borrowed the car. Good stuff.Leave a comment:

put the real California one on? sounds pretty easy actuallyLeft the house for a while and came back to a front plate ticket on my S50 E30.
I know CA requires two plates, I'm not stupid. The real CA plate for my car is BAD E30, I have a front German replica plate reading BAD E30 as well. Don't get me wrong, I know it's not a CA plate on the front but it does read the legal tag for the car.
Anybody know if there's a way to avoid this $40 ticket? Or am I fucked?!Leave a comment:

Yup, you're out $40, I was parked for 1 minute passed the meter time. Ended up with a parking ticket for $50 for expired meter and a $25 for no license placard displayed.
Moral of the story; you will be supporting the city of LA for another unjust ticket.Leave a comment:
