Got a ticket for exhaust, help?

Its not a fix it ticket its not correctable, its a magnaflow muffler 14815. I have cat's and everything I got this one to quiet it down actually from the original magnaflow that was on my car, it was raspy before now its a deep tone. I have to go to court but I want to see if you can get it signed off by a cop or sheriff, even though its not a fix it ticket.

hey kev most tickets like this require a visit to a state referee. especially since you have a exhaust kit it includes just includes a sound test after they check for - non carb legal intakes(hopefully you have your stock box if not i can provide one for you), headers ( and since we have bmw's the referee will give you shit for them but pay them no mind as yours are prolly stock). try to book an appointment and if you fail you will need to take your car and weld a resonator. Also another solution is to bolt up a stock exhaust then go to the referee (this options is a one hitter quitter)

then after all that process is complete

you get a badass sticker on your ticket that u keep that says exhaust is certified and you can make your e30 as loud as a 747 if you so please.

call me for a good time (626)309-1771 9:45am to 6:30pm if you don't want to call contact me on aim its "swrmotorsports"

I don't see how something like that isn't a fix it ticket. If it was too loud, then you get a quieter exhaust...problem solved. I guess the state just wants your money and you can keep your exhaust so another officer can cite you later. Fucking California.

damn that sucks man! when i got a exhaust ticket back in 05-06, i had to go to a ref and do a sound check. then i had to go to court to see a judge to show them that my exhaust was corrected. was at the court for 6 hours just to pay only $10!!!

" the violation is non-correctable, but if you get this ticket the State is still doing free inpsections. so, if you pass, the judge will dismiss the ticket. I got mine inspected at LA trade tech in downtown LA, you have to call to make an appt, but its real easy. And no, they dont care if you have no cats "

Why are conclusions being jumped to?

His ticket mentions nothing about the referee.
