    Machine Shop to shave flywheel

Can anyone recommend a good machine shop that can shave the back of my flywheel. Ive been to 4-5 places around my area and none of them are able to do it.

Im located in east la county. (City of industry/Rowland Heights)

    Thanks!

i have a place by my house in manhattan beach, but that's not really close to you. they do A+ work, fast and cheap. $30 same day job for a resurface, not sure about shaving but i haven't had a job yet they can't do.

it's a shop called vellios in inglewood, run by some old vw guys.

I had my m20 flywheel done but it was pricey (changed m42 dual mass to 13lb m20)... Shaving down the back was like $90, Then shaving down the weight to 12-13lbs was another $90, so plus resurface and balance put it in the price range around $300..

but I love it, cant complain.... PM me for more info if interested.

Very fair pricing last time I checked. All I have ever used them for is flywheel lightening.

Vellios charged me $100 to resurface and lighten a flywheel as far as they felt it was safe. In the case of the M3 flywheel they only shaved about 3 lbs off of it which isn't much. Other places like Metric Mechanic have more creative ways of lightening a flywheel but you have to ship and they charge more.

Took my flywheel to Steve's. not only do they do great work, but are very professional and have awesome prices. I paid 60 bucks to grind my flywheel to about 1mm from the toothring and to balance it. Dropped it off on friday, picked up on monday.I highly reccomend them to anyone. Thanks for the contact 325.
