yes i removed it a year ago. it also makes it better for running amps in the trunk to have the battery back there.
Is there anything wrong with taking it out and just replacing it with nothing? People talk about cowl shake, but if you've done it it'd be nice to have some experience. I removed one from a junkyard e30 yesterday and they're fucking HEAVY.
Also, my friend tried to convince me that he could sell the '93 auto 325i with like 190k that he just paid 1.5k for for 4 grand. The whole time he subtly insulted my car because his is two years newer and therefore obviously vastly superior. He also said that it was both "an auto and a manual because there's a manual button". I didn't have the heart to tell him he was fucking retarded. Also, "some porches are manuals but they don't have clutches. Neither does your dad's M3."
/rant. He should have bought the '67 mustang that he's always wanted.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

how nice is the 1993? $4k doesnt sound far off it is in good shape.
I'm not sure. He claims that there are only two dings and the driver's seat is a little worn. I have a feeling the mechanical shape is iffy at best. I tried to bet him $100 he couldn't sell it for 4 grand without even seeing the car, but he doesn't wanna sell it.
So it's perfectly okay to drive without the ballast?
Is this as insane of a deal as I think it is? I feel like I could buy it and use the swap, and still get well over a thousand back parting it out. The euro bumper up front is probably like 4-500 in itself. Cluster maybe 100, 2-300 for wheels, then everything else. Am I dreaming?
