the rest of the paint is pretty dull and oxidized, pretty sure that will eat the clay bar right away, no?

It shouldn't. Some of the clay bar may rub off onto the paint if you don't lube it enough. And if it pulls oxidized paint onto itself, then it's just doing it's job (although in my experience it's not that easy, the paint needs to be polished/compounded/sanded)

Going to be revamping my headset for work with an aux cable and upgraded speakers. Figured I might as well shoot them with some paint while I have them torn apart. I'm thinking BMW themed, maybe Bavarian flag type of deal. Any wild suggestions out there?
