I wanted a sedan from the start, but I had to either buy a car at the time, or take the bus to school, so I chose to have an e30, even if it wasn't my first pick.
I am a little more familiar with the car's now, and I have saved some money to do what I want.
I want a four door, period. I have friends that I drive, tossing my backpack/clothes/luggage and other shit in the back seat blows. I want to be able to open a door and grab my shit then go. They are a lot more practical to me, and they are more appealing in my eyes.
Also, I do not want to spend money on a paint job because I plan to buy a shell, as well as do an m30 swap. That is why I have been looking for a shell. I would rather be patient, find the right car/shell and spend less money on things I wouldn't have to if I just bought the first one that pops up.
I have something lined up already, and once I find the shell/car I want then all I will need to do is prep it for the swap, wait till the seller is ready and I should be 85-90% good to go.
Sorry if that made no sense, I am tired.
Put it this way. I figure $1000 for a shell max. I have seen them go for less, and there are a few opportunities I have let slip away for less than a grand, so I know they are out there. I just need to be patient.
