On a side note, I thought all the "s" model E30s, the is and es ones, were 2-doors. I just keep seeing 4-doors on Craigslist being advertised as "is" cars. Are these people stupid or am I mis-informed?

No you're right when it comes it every North American bound E30.
The only exception to this rule was with the 320is.
It was an S14-powered E30 four door that came in both early model, late model, and mtII form.
