the shocks that come with the XYZs are utter trash. once i pay for the car it's getting better stuff. or back to stock

I could never go softer than what I am at. 550/700
While on the subject, I have had tons of people ask why I opted for softer in the front as that is where the motor is, so they think the stiffer should be in the front. I have never been able to tell them the real reason minus "everyone does it" lol

you know they are actually the same rate at the hub.
the front is 1to1 ratio
the rear is a fulcrum. since the spring is farther in than the end where the hub is, you need a stiffer rate.
heres how it works.
measure the distance from the center of the spring to the trailing arm bolts
and then measure the distance to the center of the wheel hub,
(front spring rate)*(distance to hub)/(distance to spring perch) = needed spring rate.
